Development of a phygital value proposition
Yolo, as the acronym of You Only Live Once, was born in 2017 as an insurance broker that positions itself as the first player to carry out brokerage activities in both digital and phygital modes.
Yolo, presently Italy’s first insurtech player, is a digital insurance service company that allows customers (private individuals and small & medium-sized enterprises) to directly purchase, via their smartphones or PCs, the policy most suited to their needs. It is also a technological enabler able to support the digitalization of the insurance offer for its partners, thanks to an Insurtech Platform that allows the full digital distribution of insurance products and services.
The #ondemand insurance offer
YOLO allows real-time access and subscription to products from major insurance groups operating nationally and internationally It positions itself as the ideal partner for insurance companies needing to distribute products through digital channels and for large industrial and financial groups interested in developing their insurance market offerings.
On 5 August 2022 Yolo went public with a valuation of €33 million on the professional segment of Euronext Growth in Milano. This is a historic date not only for the start-up, which will further consolidate its position in Italy and expand abroad but also for the entire Italian insurtech sector, which will place a flag on the Piazza Affari list for the first time.
