Portal Technologies is an innovative Florentine startup born in 2020. It is composed of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and entrepreneurs who have created a cloud-based Business Intelligence and Retail Analytics platform capable of transforming shops into a Cloud for Retail ecosystem.
Portal’s platform is designed to supervise the flow of people in retail shops, analyse KPIs, monitor conversion rates and predict sales trends. The intuitive software allows shop owners to monitor and predict visitor behaviour in real-time, visualize statistics, manage staff, and create in-store marketing campaigns enabling them to improve point of sale performance.
Predictive analysis
The artificial intelligence industry applied to Retail and Ho.Re.Ca has seen a notable increase in interest from corporations who have become more aware of the importance and value of the data obtained from predictive analytics. Thanks to artificial intelligence algorithms and machine learning, indeed, the cloud-based software with which the Portal device is equipped, helps to improve store performance and predict future trends to enable more effective location organization.

In April 2022, Portal Technologies closed its first Pre-Seed Round with Open Seed and other private investors who decided to bet on its technology. The capital increase will enable further development of the software improving the effectiveness of the predictive analytics algorithm and refining the UX and UI.
